Ways to Incorporate Your Hobby into Your Wedding

Does your future groom love golf almost as much as he loves you? Do you spend every hour not planning your wedding reading?

Some couples like to use their hobby as a theme for their wedding. But there are ways you can incorporate your interests into the wedding without having it take over.

Here are some ideas for how to do that.

Super Hero Boutonnieres – These fun Super Hero boutonnieres add just a touch of whimsy to the ceremony. Similar ideas include the golf tee boutonniere shown in our Creative Groomsmen Attire post.  Almost any small item can be made into a pin to grace the groom’s lapel.

Books/Camera CenterpieceWedding Chicks showcases a bride and groom who used stacked book (he was an English major) and vintage cameras (she was a Photography major) as creative centerpieces.

(Note: you’ll see the groom, a home brewer, used hops as his boutonniere. Another great idea!)

Cake ToppersCake Toppers are an easy way let the guests know you met on the basketball court or spend winters skiing together. Some cake toppers can be personalized to match your hair colors for a realistic look.

Table ThemesLove and Lavender shows a couple, who enjoys hiking, using trail names instead of table numbers. Couple who love travel couple use the names of places they have been together in the same manner.

Adding small touches of your hobby to the wedding gives it personality.

What is your hobby, and how would you incorporate it into your wedding?
