Special Anniversary Traditions

Each anniversary is a chance to tell your partner how thankful you are to have them in your life. Starting an anniversary tradition is an easy way to take the guess work out of figuring out a gift.

Here are some ideas for wedding anniversary traditions.

Memory Balloons – Nothing says celebration like balloons. In this tradition, buy a balloon for each wedded year and tie a favorite memory to the string on the balloon.

Yearly Photo – A yearly photo is a fun way to document your changes over time. Each year take your anniversary photo holding a framed photo of your anniversary from the previous year. In the previous year’s photo you will be able to see all the anniversaries from before.

Each Year idea – Create and display a special statistic about each number counting up to the number of years you have been married. For example, on Marta Writes, there is an example of a couple married 50 years. Some of the items displayed include “47 – The number of combined stamps they have in their passports, 48 – The age of their oldest child….”

Special Vase for Flowers – Who doesn’t love flowers on their anniversary? Purchase a special vase, such as this Special Occasion Vase, and have it engraved with a special sentiment. Each year fill the vase with lovely flowers.

Anniversaries are a time to celebrate. Creating a anniversary tradition is a special way to be reminded of all the years you’ve been together.
