Something Blue

You know the saying: “Something old, something new, something borrowed something blue.” Your dress and jewelry usually take care of the old, new and borrowed, but what about that something blue? Here are some creative ideas for incorporating blue into your wedding ensemble.

Dress Hem – Belle the Magazine shows a unique way to incorporate blue into your dress; sew initials or a date in the hem. Ideas include embroidering your wedding date, the initials of a family member you want to remember, or even just a classic heart shape.

Shoes – A fun new trend is having attendants/family members write special notes in blue ink on the bottom of your ceremony shoes. Wedding High has a fun shoe photo to spark your creative ideas. After the ceremony, you won’t want to scuff up your messages, so slip on a comfy pair of bridal flip flops (in white, blue or your wedding colors) to wear to your reception.

Brooch Bouquet – Fancy Pants Weddings shows you how to make a stunning bouquet using brooches. If your wedding colors coordinate well with blue, why not make a colorful bouquet? Or if you prefer a more simple color scheme, try using a blue satin ribbon for the handle.

Who knew there were so many creative ways to incorporate blue into your wedding?
