Bows are a great way to accentuate your wedding look, but
you need to do so carefully so you look up-to-date rather than too cutesy. The
good news is - there are lots of modern ways to incorporate bows into your
wedding look.
Here are 4 ways.
Dress – When you think of a bow on a wedding dress, the
first thing that comes to mind is a big white bow on the back, at the
waistline. That’s a great classic option, but for a more daring bride, why not
add a bow higher on the back, and in a bright color? This bride pulls of the
untraditional, and looks stunning doing it.
Bridal flip flops – Perfect for a beach wedding or getting
comfy during the reception, these bridal flip flops are adorned with a satin
ribbon bow. You can go with classic white, or find a hue to match your wedding
colors.
Garter – Here’s an easy DIY garter option from A Beautiful
Mess. The bride made 2 garters – one to wear, and one to toss. You could also use the technique shown to
make a headband, being sure to add a bow, of course.
Bow bun – Rather than on top of her head, this bride does
the bow bun to the back. The front of the style looks sleek and elegant, and
the bow on the back adds some classy whimsy. This bow bun is a great
alternative to the Lady Gaga look – unless that’s what you are going for.
Adding bows to your wedding look can be feminine and fun.
Try one or all of these ideas for your big day.
