Wedding Element: Wheat

Late fall and Thanksgiving time weddings lend themselves to a harvest theme. While pumpkins and apples may be popular for September and October, wheat is a fantastic accent to use for November weddings. Here are some ways to incorporate wheat into your wedding.

Wheat BoutonniereA sprig of wheat with a ribbon attached is a simple yet lovely way for the groom to dress up his tux. This boutonniere has a brown ribbon, but rich oranges would also be a great color scheme to go with the neutral wheat.

Wheat Aisle DécorSheaths of wheat make a charming addition to along the aisle. Similar to the boutonniere, this decoration has a ribbon, but the addition of an orchid adds an extra touch.

Wheat CenterpieceA simple bundle of wheat adds a rustic element to your reception tables.  Once again, the wheat is held together with a satin ribbon in the color of the wedding.

Since wheat is a neutral color, you may want to add a pop of color to your reception table. These fall flower favor boxes will do the trick!

Whether it is thoughts of abundance and harvest or the romance of wheat fields waving in the wind, wheat is a great item to add you your wedding. Which of these ideas is your favorite?
