There’s no need for plain, boring wedding favor boxes when
you can easily jazz them up. Whether you are grouping them together on one
table, displaying them in a basket or placing them at individual guest seats,
adding some decoration to favor boxes is a great way to make them special.
These 4 DIY favor box projects will wow your guests.
Paper band and label – By printing text onto tags and cutting a colored paper band, you can easily make boxes appear sleek and
modern. This example shows the bride and groom’s names and wedding date, but
for an even more formal look, try your monogram in a fancy script font.
Peacock favor – Whether you are going with a peacock theme
or are including jewel tone greens and blues into your big day, a peacock feather is a great option. Use a dab of glue to attach the feather to the box
top. To add even more color, add ribbon around the base of the box.
Mix
and match box tops - For a fun whimsical look, try mixing up the colors of the box tops and bases. This example uses red and blue for a nautical look, but
combinations are endless. For a fun and unexpected pop of color, orange and
bright pink favor boxes would look great together.
Fancy – Michael's shows how to add strands of sticky-backed
rhinestones on top of ribbon for an elegant favor box. Another alternate is to
use a few larger peel and stick rhinestones on the favor box.
With all these options, there’s no reason to settle for a
plain white favor box.
Which box is your favorite?
